The castle, which protects the city center of Kayseri, located on the transportation passages in Central Anatolia, is a medieval castle with its old existence and additions made over time. The Historical Kayseri City and Castle is built on a flat area and consists of two parts: the Outer Castle and the Inner Castle. The Inner Castle has become a separate castle due to the fact that it is higher than the Outer Castle and the city walls added around it.

Talas, at the foot of Mount Erciyes, is an important settlement that still preserves its old cultural texture. Mazaks, Cappadocians and Romans lived in Talas, whose history dates back to 1500 BC.
Mimar Sinan, whose unique talent in architecture goes beyond the borders of the country, is one of the most important names raised in the city. The house where Mimar Sinan, who was born in Ağırnas town of Kayseri and lived here until the age of 22, was born and raised, has now been converted into a museum and opened to visitors.
Located on the borders of Develi and Yeşilhisar districts, Sultansazlığı is among the places to visit in Kayseri. It was named so because it was the hunting ground of the sultans during the Ottoman period.
