Kayseri Castle and Walls, which were built in the Roman Period in the 3rd century and narrowed in the Byzantine Period in the 6th century; It was rebuilt in its current form during the reign of Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubat I. It was repaired twice during the reign of Karamanoğulları and Osmanoğulları. The castle, which protects the city center of Kayseri, located on the transportation passages in Central Anatolia, is a medieval castle with its old existence and additions made over time. The Historical Kayseri City and Castle is built on a flat area and consists of two parts: the Outer Castle and the Inner Castle. The Inner Castle has become a separate castle due to the fact that it is higher than the Outer Castle and the city walls added around it.

Kayseri means trade. The bazaar, which dates back to the Ottoman period, is the second largest covered bazaar in Turkey after the Istanbul Grand Bazaar. The bazaar, which has many tradesmen from jewelers to spice shops, from rope makers to shops selling clothing items, is open to visitors and shopping.

Kayseri's first modern educational structure, Historical Kayseri High School, is an impressive building made of cut stone, built in 1904 in accordance with the Neoclassical architectural style of the Abdulhamid period. Today, Kayseri High School serves as a museum under the name of the National Struggle Museum.

Historical Kayseri District, an attractive region in Setenönü where Kayseri traditions and old lifestyle are reflected, is famous for its historical mansions and buildings that have been restored and brought into tourism. This old Armenian neighborhood built on 88 decares of land; It is a special tourist address where small tradesmen such as grocery stores, barbers and bakeries are trying to be revived.

It is a place worth seeing with its streets full of history, stone buildings, old houses, mosques and churches. Talas, at the foot of Mount Erciyes, is an important settlement that still preserves its old cultural texture. Mazaks, Cappadocians and Romans lived in Talas, whose history dates back to 1500 BC.

Mimar Sinan, whose unique talent in architecture goes beyond the borders of the country, is one of the most important names raised in the city. The house where Mimar Sinan, who was born in Ağırnas town of Kayseri and lived here until the age of 22, was born and raised, has now been converted into a museum and opened to visitors.

Located on the borders of Develi and Yeşilhisar districts, Sultansazlığı is among the places to visit in Kayseri. It was named so because it was the hunting ground of the sultans during the Ottoman period.
